It's snowy and yucky outside, so I was excited to get this today. I immediately assembled it and ran outside to try it out! If you use all of the pole sections, it's extremely long. Even so, I was able to use it with all of the sections. I may remove a section later. It slid right under the icy areas and lifted them right up. To be fair, the snow is starting to melt today, so I may need to update this when the next cold spell hits in a few days and the ice is more solid. The blade is plenty wide enough to clear a decent amount of ice at one time.
Update: Right before the next cold spell hit, I went out and broke up the slightly melty ice with this tool and then cleared it with my shovel. I'm glad I did, because I don't think I could have gotten my trash can through the ice otherwise, and it really to be emptied! The tool didn't break up the really hard ice, however.

Here is in the Northeast US, one annoying thing that happens with the snow is accumulation of compact snow leading to very slipper conditions and sometimes, the ice may be barely invisible.
The ice scraper (or one could even call it an ice-breaker) is the way to scrape the ice off the ground , especially in the areas where people are walking.
This particular scraper is a well-engineered product made with a large (say 10") edge and a few handle components which are screwed to each other . The main handle piece that connects to the head is screwed using the supplier wrench and tightening tool. he handle when fully assembled is almost 6 feel in length. The edge is also provided with a small plastic sheath to prevent any cuts.
Assembly was not difficult, and the thoughtfully provided tools comes really handy. The downside is that there is no instruction that comes with the pack. As a result, a bit of trial and error is needed. I deduct a point for this shortcoming. The price is in line with other products.
On the whole, I like this tool, and it is already proving useful in the two snowstorms we have had in the past two weeks. For a reasonably good quality product that is nicely presented, I think four stars are appropriate.

Because the handle is not machined from one solid piece metal, the amount of flex in the handle prevents the user from apply a high level of thrust or downward force without being afraid of bending the handle. The head is also problematic. It is thin yet not heavy enough to get up under a solid ice sheet. I could barely chip away at the ice while baring down on it like some sort of ice pick. This is just too wimpy and not at all what I expect from a scraper.
UPDATE: during our second snow fall of the season this scraper was well used for the layers of ice that had not really adhered to the concrete, and may have been "floating" a thin layer of water. Once I was under the ice, this tool worked well.

This is a decent ice scraper tool, it is not as high quality as a one piece tool though. I was looking for one of these, and was going to buy one of the one piece units from a local hardware store, but was given the chance to try this one out, and it will get the job done. I am not a fan of these screw together handles on tools such as this, but this one is done better than some others, and is nice and long. The blade part of the tool seems to be of good quality, it is pretty heavy duty, and will serve me well the one or two times a year it snows/ices over here. Outside of that I will likely use it to line out areas where I am going to dig, or use it to edge along items in the hard when I don't want to break out the edger.

Well made, easy to assemble.
The handle pieces screw together, so it's easy to remove or add a section in order to adjust the height for the task at hand. The blade attaches with two screws, and the included tools made the job easy.
I just used it to clear snow from steps, and it's perfect for that.
Also used it to scrape some ice from the walkway after I shoveled.
It comes with a plastic cover for the blade, and that's a plus for keeping the edge in shape.
The blade seems to have a heavy coating that should last well if maintained properly.
