Victoria is my new favourite cast iron maker: the designs of the cookware is truly well thought out – the quality is unsurpassed by any other manufacturer 'out there'! Some of the features I particularly like are many of your skillets have a side handle which is fantastic idea…especially for people such as myself who have to deal with sore wrists and hands from arthritis (one of the 'joys' of getting older…) and so by having a side handle, the weight is evenly distributed! A truly genuine comal, made in Columbia, South America. Solid, well made. Medium to medium high heat for tortillas. Try medium first. Thin coat of canola or high heat oil will help. Have not charred veggies yet. Cleans up fast and easy. Make sure tortillas are dry, no freezer moisture, especially corn, or they will stick a little and you'll have a hole in the center. Flour ones did great. This comal is useful, sturdy, heats evenly, holds heat evenly for multiple uses. Excellent piece. Finely made.
