I got this long sleeve shirt to replace a running shirt I was using while playing hockey. I wasn't sure about going to a long sleeve shirt because I didn't want to overheat, but I honestly don't feel any hotter with the long sleeves.
The shirt felt a little short when I put it on for the first time. I usually tuck my shirt into my skate pants to avoid cold air coming under the shirt. I could not tuck this in so it would stay. But in the game itself, I didn't notice it coming up at all.
As for the rubberized sleeves designed to keep the pads in place:
-They are actually on the wrist and not the elbow
-I had to undo the velcro on the elbow pads to get them up to position. This is the first time I've ever had to do that.
-Only towards the end of the game, after a collision with another player that dislodged the pad, did I have to adjust the elbow pad.
So it does work, but not 100%.
Finally, to the manufacturer: Why print the no-name brand across the neck guard? Kids are self-conscious and brand conscious. They won't want to proudly declare that they can't afford CCM or Warrior gear. For a cheap senior like me, it's no big deal.

First and most importantly – If you're looking for a shirt with an integrated neck guard to meet the new USA hockey requirements – this is NOT it. The neck guard on this is less use full than just tossing on a turtle neck shirt. There is no certification markings on this shirt, it will NOT be accepted as a neck guard for youth hockey. Additionally – it offers no cut resistance. It's folded over fabric – nothing additional.
Second – the "Elbow pad grips" are on just above the wrist area of the shirt – it's nowhere near my son's elbows / elbow pads.
It get's 2 stars for being a really nice over priced shirt, that my son thinks is super comfy. However it is NOT as advertised.

Form fitting undergarment for your athlete!
Using it for teen football undergarment, and he agrees this garment is breathable and durable for practicing in his defense and offense positions. Movable / flexible material making it easy to play sports in.
The only complaint is the large Velcro strap at the collar my teen can do without. Otherwise very comfortable, breathable, and lightweight fit underneath his pads.
