Tosowoong has a number of products out there on the market targeting various skin issues. I've tried a few, and was eager to get my hands on this one.
The moisturizer is unscented, and a consistency that if you put some in your hand, it won't run – so a thicker moisturizer. It feels silky rubbing into the skin and absorbs quickly without any lingering tackiness or stickiness.
The tube is 50g which is pretty standard for most skin moisturizers and is very simple in packaging.
I like that you see the full ingredients list in the ad. This shows candidness that I wish more vendors/brands would partake in.
Looking at the list, you've got an impressive number of good ingredients in the skincare world (niacinimide being one), but the Laminaria mentioned in the name is actually further down on the list than I'd like for it to be effective. It's hard to tell how much of ANY ingredient is in any skincare, but I do know that the further down the list, the less there is.
While it's too soon to see any noticeable difference in my skin from a firmness perspective, I do like the way my skin feels and am committed to using this on a daily basis to be able to better measure results.

I started using this cream during the recent snowfall that Canada has been having, and it has been a great addition to my winter skincare routine. Since I move between my freezing home office and heated indoor spaces as I juggle work and family duties, I have found it particularly helpful for my dry winter skin. After a long day of indoor heating and outdoor photo shoots with my teenage daughter last weekend, my face felt less taut and irritated than usual. I keep the jar on my home office desk for quick touch-ups between video calls. Though I wish it came with a spatula, I'm not fond of dipping my fingers in the jar multiple times a day. The cream is sufficiently absorbed, allowing for the application of my standard sunscreen without any pilling, which is crucial during the luminous winter days. For individuals experiencing dryness during the winter months, it is recommended to apply the cream while the skin remains slightly moist from toner; additionally, it may be beneficial to store a small quantity in a separate container at one's office desk to prevent contamination of the primary jar. The hydrating properties are good; although, on especially cold days, I do find myself putting an extra moisturizer on top.

This cream contains laminaria and niacinamide, which help firm skin and prevent the appearance of wrinkles. The texture is on the thicker side, but it spreads evenly and absorbs quickly without leaving a greasy residue. There is no noticeable scent, and I did not experience any irritation. My skin looks and feels smoother after application, and I have noticed a slight firming effect and reduction in the look of fine lines after a few weeks use. I am hoping for better results with more long term use, but am enjoying how it feels on my skin so far.

Pre-Review Note: This review contains some product-related information, information related to Korean company TOSOWOONG, & a couple of key ingredients in this Firming Cream. To skip that & read about my experience with the Firming Cream itself just scroll down to "Laminaria Firming Cream User Review".
TOSOWOONG-RELATED INFORMATION
I was not familiar with this Korean company prior to my using this Laminaria Firming Cream. So, I did a bit of research & this is what I found:
Tosowoong is a skincare company that specializes in developing natural cosmetics for various skin concerns, such as wound treatment, acne-prone skin, pore tightening, and vitamin creams. They offer a range of products including cleansers, creams, and essences.
It was founded in the early 2000's & it's become increasingly popular as people have become more aware of skin care ingredients & savvy about what they can do for skin issues, repairing damaged skin, & minimising signs of aging.
It seems to me that TOSOWOONG is on its way to becoming one of the more popular & recognizable Korean skin care brands in the low to mid-price range that features natural ingredients mixed with actives.
PRODUCT-RELATED INFORMATION – INGREDIENTS
Since becoming a member of the Vine Program I've had the opportunity to test a variety of skin care products with varying results. It's also allowed me to become reasonably well acquainted with a significant number of skin care ingredients but as science & the industry evolves I encounter some with which I'm not familiar. LAMINARIA is one of them as is ADENOSINE so I did a bit of research of my own & thought I'd share what I found with you.
LAMINARIA JAPONICA EXTRACT:
Laminaria japonica extract is a skincare ingredient derived from brown algae that's known for its hydrating, anti-inflammatory, & anti-aging properties. So, it's often found in moisturisers and serums.
POSSIBLE BENEFITS:
Hydration: Laminaria japonica extract helps to hydrate the skin & locks in moisture.
Anti-aging: It contains antioxidants that help reduce the appearance of fine lines & wrinkles.
Anti-inflammatory: Because it's gentle, it can help soothe the skin.
Skin barrier: It is believed to help strengthen the skin's barrier.
Environmental protection: It can also help to protect the skin from environmental stressors.
ADENOSINE:
Adenosine is a water-soluble ingredient that is found in many skincare products, especially anti-aging creams & eye serums. It's a natural element of the body & is considered safe for all skin types.
POSSIBLE BENEFITS:
Anti-aging
Adenosine can help reduce the appearance of wrinkles & fine lines. It can also help improve skin elasticity & firmness.
Soothing:
Adenosine can help to soothe & restore the skin, reducing redness and irritation.
Skin barrier protection:
Adenosine can help to strengthen the skin barrier.
Hydration:
Adenosine can work as a humectant to help hydrate the skin and make it look and feel smoother & plumper.
HOW ADENOSINE WORKS:
Adenosine can help to penetrate the skin to a degree & can help increase collagen & elastin production … to a degree.
Adenosine helps to stimulate cell energy, which in turn, increases blood flow to the skin & reactivates microcirculation.
REVIEW OF LAMINARIA FIRMING CREAM
I've not been using this cream long enough to be able to attest to seeing any noticeable difference in the reduction of fine lines &/or wrinkles. Those sort of differences require time, however, it's very important to keep in mind & I'm quoting here that TOSOWOONG says, "Starting to use this cream in your 20s is ESSENTIAL* for PREVENTING* early signs of aging." In other words, it's better as a preventative as opposed to a remedy or cure.
I am not in my 20's so I'm not using this cream with unreasonable expectations, instead I'm using it as a good moisturiser with a solid "Active"- Niacinamide, along with other effective emollients & humectants, like Glycerin. I do wish the percentages of these ingredients were listed though.
I like that the cream is appropriate for any type of skin, dry, normal, oily, sensitive.
I also like that I can use this cream as a moisturiser for other parts of my person. I can use it on my neck & other parts of my body. I'm not sure if it has the power to lift anything I may have that's sagging, lol! But, as I mentioned, it's a good moisturiser. And, living though Canadian winters, we need good moisturisers.
Although this cream is described as "Travel sized" it seems pretty full-sized to me.
I don't think the price for this cream is unreasonable if purchased for its intended purpose & demographic. If you have skin that's slightly more evolved than it was when you were in your twenties then it might be a better idea to invest your money in another product from TOSOWOONG that's designed specifically for your current skin care needs.
*Block lettering is mine used in place of italics which I haven't learned how to do here … yet, lol.

Thick cream and you can definately feel the skin "tightening"! I've been using this for over 2 weeks as I like to use skincare for some time before leaving a review to see if it does what it claims to do. I feel like it does improve skin texture and minimizes sagging skin. I got it specifically for my neck area and using this, along with my other skincare routine, is giving me results. Nov pic was on my 48th birthday! Gray sweater pic was today (Jan 23rd) I would recommend!

The cream contains a good deal of positive skincare essentials and it does help out for keep the skin pretty firm. The cream is a bit thick and doesn't cover too much area so keep that in mind but otherwise it's overall a pretty good cream.

This face cream from TOSOWOONG absorbs quickly into my skin and does a decent job of keeping my face soft as well as slowly improving my moisture barrier and skin texture. I've been using this in the morning with sunscreen for a while and have seen my skin texture improve from splotchy to smooth as well as my moisture barrier recovering after a bad patch of roughness. The ingredients are good and gentle enough for normal skin types. The formula isn't greasy either. Make sure to wear sunscreen as always after applying your skincare. I like this a lot and would recommend it.

Medium density cream moisturizes and provides good hydration. Absorbs readily and can feel slight sealing or tightening of your skin. Very mild to almost no scent.

When I ordered this Laminaria Firming Cream by Tosowoong I had no idea what laminaria japonica even was, but I do now. Sadly, as it turns out it's just another ingredient that I need to avoid.
This cream does contain a lot of great ingredients to firm, soften, smooth and protect the skin. Most of them I have heard of- betaine, adenosine, triglycerides, niacinamide, and sunflower oil all provide great benefits to the skin.
The one new to me is called laminaria japonica, which is a brown algae extract. I've heard of algae as a skin care ingredient, so I did a little investigating. Algae is good at drawing moisture into the skin. It also is an antioxidant and protects the skin from environmental stressors. Algae contains magnesium and zinc, which help calm redness, it soothes and can diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. But even though algae is beneficial in many ways, it is also comedogenic, which means that it can clog the pores and cause breakouts.
Add to this the fact that this cream contains dimethicone, a silicone based ingredient that forms a barrier on the skin… Well, suffice to say that after using this cream for several days my reflection in the mirror regressed to teenage years. It's frustrating because I was loving what this cream was doing for my skin. After using it my skin felt softer and smoother, and even the redness from my rosacea was fading. But then my face started breaking out, and I had to stop using it.
For those not prone to blemishes this is a very nice moisturizing cream, but it is not for me. It is currently selling for $19.85 and that is a good value for all the skin loving ingredients in it. Even though I personally cannot use it I would still recommend it.
