With an aerodynamic, high-carbon steel head that’s 25% lighter and a ballistically balanced design, this hammer provides sniper-controlled swings and maximum velocity at the point of impact. This hammer also includes a Santoprene rubber mallet cap for non-marring use on applications involving finished surfaces. For optimum vibration reduction, the bi-material handle is built with a rugged frame and a camo-textured, MOA grip that absorbs shock and lessens sting even when nailing into the hardest materials. To help you work faster, safer, and more precisely, this hammer features a magnetic nail starter for rapid driving while extending overhead reach and range and a lanyard hole for compatibility with SRS Safety Retention Systems. This hammer also features a versatile rip claw for precision demo, nail removal, and prying. You know, I've had a stiletto for 14 years and I was looking for something less expensive… which I found , but my God is everything else heavy….. this hammer is a 20oz…. it does what it should but I'd rather spend 300 some bucks on a hammer that will last me 14 years and my arm thanking me in the long run

This hammer is an upgrade to my traditional claw hammer. Its comfort and size … gives a great feel and balance with every swing. I also love the magnetic nail starter. However, the black paint tends to chip away with usage. Nevertheless, the look and the design of this Spec Ops Rip Claw hammer is uniquely appealing. In addition to … the soft mallet cap which protects finished wood works and delicate frame pieces perfectly when finishing nails.

I bought a few of these to try out, the mallet cap caught my eye. I run a water mitigation company, my guys are always doing controlled demo and we try not to destroy surrounding materials. Very balanced hammer, impressive swing on its own, but the mallet cap is the chefs kiss. I thought I’ve ended up with over 10 of these hammers in the last month, my older techs ask for them once they see them in use. The fact that sales support veterans is icing on the cake. If you haven’t yet you should check out their other tools. The stapler is lightweight and strong, nail puller great at getting into small spaces.
