My umbrella recently broke after 10+ of use. Couldn't find an exact replacement so I bought this one. Great quality, opens fast and seems very durable. It withstood a very windy day. It's large enough for 2 people, and I have no doubts that this umbrella will last as long as my old one. Good Buy!
UPDATE: Lasted about 10 uses. Wind turned it out, ribs didn't break but the shaft shattered. Item is no longer useful.

Great umbrella! The case has a long strap, so if you like to go for walks on "iffy" days, just sling it over your shoulder and away you go! Opens well. Great size. Easy to close.

This umbrella comes with a three year warranty. This is on the label when you first buy the umbrella, but it's easily forgotten. This means if there is a breakage up until the very last minute of the three year period, you need to apply through the Amazon order to access their "return and exchange service". One day over this, and they won't fix it. I tried.
All umbrellas break, and this is my second purchase of this exact model of this Rumbrella umbrella. At 3 years of age, three of the joints broke after light use in a non-windy area. This new umbrella has the same construction (no upgrades have been done in the last 3 years), so fingers crossed this one fares better. Do note I bought another identical Rumbrella because I liked it so much and haven't found another umbrella as good as this one.
The umbrella has a lightweight fabric which is taut over the ribs (not floppy). It is water repellent so unlike regular umbrella fabric, the water beads and drips off, meaning with a good shake after use, it's a fraction as wet as a regular umbrella. I would buy this again, and hope that I am able to use the Amazon return and exchange service before it breaks next time.

I haven’t used outside yet, but have practiced opening and closing. Opening is very easy, closing was a bit harder but still doable. Comes with a little cover/strap to carry it over should when not in use.

I originally purchased this umbrella to go along with a cosplay but also wanted to be sturdy. It was important for me that the umbrella have the J-styled hook/handle and also a tip at the top. Regardless of my original reasons for buying this umbrella, I have to say that this is hands down the best umbrella I've purchased. It is sturdy and spacious so I can actually get someone else under the umbrella with me (or if I'm carrying a lot of things know that they'll be protected under the umbrella). The umbrella is visually stunning as well, with its distinct shape and attributes. I sometimes feel like spinning the umbrella just for fun. I also feel it can easily go along with most outfits, whether casual or formal. (Or in one case, in a costume).
The best part of the umbrella is the shoulder sling and also the only part where I might have a complaint. The shoulder sling makes this umbrella incredibly portable, easy to hang up, etc. It can be bundled up and stored in a bag, purse, satchel, etc. easily when you're using the umbrella. Getting the umbrella back in the shoulder sling is best done when the umbrella is not wet (so as to make sure it won't get any mildew smell). Make sure the shoulder sling is completely open, the umbrella is completely wrapped up, and you should have no trouble slipping it in. If you try to force it in then you run the risk of the tip tearing the shoulder sling.
Now, what do you do if your shoulder sling rips because you were walking and the sling got caught on something and instead of stopping, you kept trying to walk with stupid confidence? Well, you'd be upset about the shoulder sling breaking, but be glad the the rest of the umbrella is still usable. The J-styled hook/handle still makes it super easy to hang. But it is a bit harder to carry around when not using without the shoulder sling.
So I ended up reordering this. The whole thing primarily for the shoulder sling and gifted the other umbrella to a friend who was fine without having the shoulder sling. (She actually used it as a stage prop in one of her theater shows). I am glad I repurchased it as I can use the umbrella to its fullest.
Other things to note is that the umbrella does have some weight to it. It's not a burden to carry but neither is it lightweight like a collapsible, purse-sized umbrella might be. I've had too many smaller umbrellas break, umbrellas from box stores just not be sturdy enough, and generally stopped carrying an umbrella because of it. This umbrella changed that for me!
Final thoughts. Get this umbrella if you want something extremely reliable, but know that if the shoulder sling breaks it can still be usable. It just depends on your preference. Also, get this umbrella for things like costumes and stage productions! I think it can look quite great as a prop while also being functional.
