Great product, but the price here is outrageous! Picked up a box of 18 for $19.99 US at Costco.

While the taste was not bad, the texture is a throwback to Powerbars from the 1990’s. These will not be on my but list again for the outrageous price. This is a goo extruded into bar form.

These bars are a bit tough to chew, meaning it’s not a soft bar. Having basic ingredients without all the added items that other bars have make this one of the top 10 protein bars to buy. However for whatever reason the price more than doubled! It used to be sold for $39. Definitely NOT worth the current high price!

Everything looks good on the description, but they don't mention it is high in sugar. I felt deceived. The claim all these great things about the bar, but nowhere do they mention the amount of sugar. The only way to know this is to buy the product. I had to give them away. Could not eat that much sugar (but they did taste good).

It's so hard to find a protein bar/energy bar with minimal ingredients that is both free of artificial sweeteners and tastes good. Usually, I'm lucky to get one of those things in a bar. But these bars actually taste like snickerdoodle! I have a lot of dietary restrictions and I struggle finding protein bars that don't cause me GI upset. These bars have only 5 ingredients all of which are safe and healthy. Rise bars are a winner. They check all my boxes! I'll be ordering more. Lots more 🙂
Pros:
Tastes really good!
It's soft and chewy, not-break-your-teeth-hard-to-chew like protein bars tend to be
Minimal ingredients
Whole ingredients
No artificial sweeteners
No Stevia
Protein rich (20grams/bar)
Cons:
Can't think of any
Edit: the bars I've been getting are no longer soft and chewy. They're pretty tough and require lots of chewing. Also they've been covered in oil. I think they do that so the bars don't stick to the wraper but, it's way too much oil! I try and pat them down with a napkin or wrap them in a napkin but the napkin fuses with the bar in places, so then I'm eating almonds, whey, honey, cinnamon, and paper. This wasn't just one box but several.
Still, these issues aside, I'm not changing my rating, because the minimal, safe, healthy ingredients win me over. So I'll keep ordering them and I'll probably keep muttering and complaining to myself as I eat them.

I love that there are so few ingredients. I have mild lactose intolerance – cheese and yogurt are fine, milk and cream (all kinds – sour cream, whipped cream, ice cream) absolutely devastate me. I was a little concerned about the protein source (whey) because of this but there's been no problem.
Things like Kind bars and Larabars are too sweet for me, but most actual 'protein' bars taste awful and make me gag. These aren't too sweet but they taste pretty good. (They better, at 22g of carbs per bar.) I got them because I go straight from an aerial yoga class to a climbing gym one night a week, and eating before aerial is a good way to get nauseous halfway through the class. So I got these for a snack to fuel up for climbing. So far seems to do the trick.
I'm happy and will absolutely but these again.
