Product description
Highly recommended by the Vintage company, Renaissance wax Polish will protect the surface of metals and wood from dust, fingerprints, liquids, and other environmental hazards. Renaissance wax Polish was originally formulated in the British museum research laboratories in the early 1950's, in response to a discussion amongst museum technicians at an international conference on fine-art conservation. When applied, it creates a micro-thin, lustrous layer that enhances shine while preventing damage. Renaissance wax Polish can also be used to remove old Polish build up.

So….bought this after A LOT of how to reading to treat a leather table and stools purchased by my grandpa back in the 50's in Peru. Lots of intricate patterning in this set and has been handed down through multiple generations now. My mom used to use floor wax polish on it decades ago so you have an idea of the "buildup" that was on it. This stuff is AMAZING!! it brought back the colour and made it shine. I have never seen it look this good in my life. It was expensive (it seemed) but I did approximately 18 sq ft (incl the wood frame) and barely used any of the polish. It has been about 8 months since first application and I'm only now thinking I want to reapply. I can't rave enough about this stuff. I would buy over and over and would recommend to anyone. This one seems to live up to its hype. Shipping was fast. Would order again!

It does it’s job, if your not in a ventilated area though it does have a bit of a smell, it’s nothing insane but if your touchy to smells then you’ll definitely notice it. I’ve read reviews that it didn’t have a scent; but the container that I have definitely does and I can’t use it in the house

This product is magic. Use small amounts and a clean lint free rag. The smell is strong after applied but does fade within a day

I am a clockmaker and clock repairman so I work with 300-year-old clocks and clocks I have just created with my bare hands. This works great to keep brass and steel from tarnishing for a good amount of time. Other forms of protection are lacquer and electroplating, the former often goes wrong and is impossible to touch up, and the latter is extremely expensive. microcrystalline wax is by far the best option for the work I do. It will protect from tarnishing for several months up to a few years and you can just touch it up as time goes on, its very easy to apply, I recommend a microfiber cloth, a little goes a long way
