Best seed mix in the market. Mix two tablespoons with almond or Almond/Cashew unsweetened vanilla milk with 1/4 cup blueberries. Mix let sit for 10-20 minutes for a pudding type breakfast! Delicious, healthy and great start to the day. Also incredible for digestive system!

Love the Holy Crap cereal brand. I mix it with oatmeal and hemp hearts and do it as an overnight oats. Yum!

Buyer beware, first week it was fine then unseen mold set in that i couldnt see, but tasted terrible. Amazon says product unable to return. My advice, dont waste your money. Expiration date says good until 2024, dont belive it.

Okay, here's the thing. If you don't like wet chia seeds (with the sliminess they create), this is not for you. I happen to enjoy wet chia, so I like this stuff. Everybody else in my family thinks it's gross. Okay. More for me!
Here's what you need to know first about prep:
With the 3 "cold versions" (not the hot oatmeal version), there are 2 sets of instructions. The package says to soak 2 Tbsp of cereal 5 minutes in 1/4 c milk or milk substitute. The little postcard-shaped thing that comes with the multipack says to soak in 1/4 c of water, THEN to add milk.
FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS ON THE PACKAGE. It's so much better soaked in milk.
Breakdown of the flavors:
1. Maple + Gluten-Free Oats (yellowish-orange package). This is delicious hot cereal. I love that it's not super sweet, so you can add your own sweetener. It's as easy to prep as instant oatmeal, but I like it better. I added raisins, a seed mixture (actually made for topping salads), and honey, and it was an excellent, hearty breakfast. SEE PIC. Next time, I'd like to add some of the red package (the plain one without fruit in it) for extra texture to see how it tastes.
2. Natural (red package). This is the only one I'm not fond of, since it doesn't have any dried fruit in it. I'll have to add raisins or something to make this one taste how I want it to. Healthy but boring.
3. Apple Cinnamon (green package). This one is really tasty. I mix with milk and then (after 5+ minutes soaking) add sliced banana.
4. Blueberry Apple (blue package). My favorite! I prep the same way as the green package.
I love the varied textures in this, and I love that I'm eating a healthy, natural breakfast. I will add one thing: It says 2 Tbsp is enough for a meal, and it's just not enough for me! 3 Tbsp (with 6 Tbsp or 1/4c + 2 Tbsp milk) works better for me, with banana added. This is for the 3 cold varieties. I added so much other stuff to the hot variety that 2 Tbsp was enough.

I'm glad I didn't write a review for this product the day I received it. If I had done, it would have been a pretty bad review. This pack of four different flavors comes with a card that tells you how to prepare it. The directions on the card differ slightly from those on the packaging. The first step is to soak 2 tablespoons of the cereal in water for five minutes, then add your milk or yogurt or whatever for a simple breakfast. I followed these directions on my first try, and I did NOT enjoy my breakfast. Fortunately, I decided to try again the next day, but this time I soaked my cereal in soy milk instead of water. So much better! I have also tried it in yogurt, which was delicious. Now I have it for my lunch with soy milk, a bit of honey, and banana slices. I really like it that way! It is heavy on the chia seed, which I don't generally like, but there's enough other stuff, including dried fruit, to make the chia bearable. I love that this stuff is gluten-free, too.
This cereal won't be for everybody, but it is a pretty decent-tasting way to get your fiber and omegas 3 & 6, as well as a good energy boost. If you like chia seeds, or seeds in general, I think it's worth trying. And don't give up if you don't like it the first time! Just tweak it a little to make it more palatable. Who knows, you might even love it!
I hope that sharing my experience with this product might help YOU make a more informed purchase. Happy shopping!

First off, the name, "Holy Crap," is great or awful name depending on your perspective. I thought it was cleaver and witty while my spouse said wow that's an awful name. Whatever your opinion on it, you got to admit… it gets you talking about the name.
In this Rainbow Variety pack, you get 4 of the Holy Crap Breakfast Cereal flavors, natural, blueberry apple, apple cinnamon, and maple/oats.
I would argue out of the 4 packs, there is only one I would consider an actual breakfast cereal, the maple+glueten-free oats. This is the only one that contains oats and is the only one out of the bunch that you mix with hot water to make a instant oatmeal cereal. All the others you are supposed to use 2 tablespoons and mix with 1/4 cup of milk. It creates a small half cup that really isn't quite filling enough to be breakfast. It's almost like a small cup of chia pudding. So instead of treating it like a breakfast cereal, I think of them like a my fiber/omega supplement for the day.
Overall these blends are a great whole food method to get omegas and fiber into my diet without having to take pills or supplements.
