this is such an amazing concept.
i know people have done this type of thing with chests/boxes. an note book is so creative!
this is super fantastic for trips. not only can you keep your journal but the puzzle is perfect for the days when it rains and you stay under covers.
the pieces fit together well. since they are plastic or acrylic they won’t get damaged but i am concerned of wear and tear.
the paint does look sturdy and will hold up for sometime.
it can be used with other books of similar size as the note book.
there is a paper copy of the image and it is almost the exact same size. you can navigate the pieces by referencing to it if you get stuck.
the pieces are small so this is not suitable for small children.
i absolutely love this crazy corn pop character. it’s way fun and i can’t help having some chuckles when i see it. i know my sister will think is popping too,
i have a metal tube to store this all in and take it with me when i want.
i also got the van goah “the starry night”. there are some missed areas of paint on the pieces. but that painting has a lot more going on colour wise compared to this popcorn one.
these are going to be a hit.
it’s too bad the box isn’t more portable for travels. i do like the box, don’t get me wrong. it’s different and fun. but the starry night one i received was crushed at the top. it’s just not a convenient travel buddy as is. i had a small box to keep the pieces in, a velvet bag could work too. it’s nice they are not typical puzzle pieces. you can get a lot more usage from them compared to paper/board type puzzles.

I was skeptical when I saw this because I wasn’t really clear what it was but once it arrived and I looked through the box, I was excited to make it. It comes with an 80 page notebook with no cover and very thick paper. The puzzle gets made and put into a thick plastic cover and then the notebook slides into the cover. It also comes with a bookmark which is a lovely bonus. The puzzle is very satisfying to put together and it’s so cute once it’s been made. These projects are great and I will definitely invest in more now that I’ve seen the finished product.

Such a cute idea for a journal! The puzzle is very unique in that they're harder plastic pieces that snap together. The pieces hold together very strong and the hinge pieces are secure. Took about 1.5 hours to get the puzzle together. Once together, you slide it into the protective plastic cover and slide the notebook in on top. Very sturdy. The notebook pages are high quality and thick, works with ballpoint and ink pens. Once you finish the notebook, it can be easily replaced with another A5 notebook. This makes a very unique and fun gift idea. Highly recommend! Bonus points that it's a Japanese brand!

It had been a while since I had done a jigsaw puzzle, so this puzzle diary was perfect for me. The 329 pieces were relatively small, giving me just the right level of challenge to complete – it remained fun throughout assembly rather than becoming tedious. The pieces captured every detail of the original artwork, including brush strokes and minor flaws, which helped make it easier to match the puzzle. Each piece is plastic with the ink directly embossed on the surface rather than printed onto paper glued to the plastic. The assembled puzzle is stable and rigid enough to pick up and even fold the hinged sections, which makes it easy to insert into the plastic cover. It was an excellent relaxing experience.

PRO's:
• Puzzle pieces are made of plastic and feel quite durable.
• Pieces connect snugly and hold together well due to their thickness.
• Spine pieces are reinforced with plastic tabs to help maintain rigidity.
• Puzzle is true to the image depicted.
CON's:
• None

I am reviewing both the Twinkle Twinkle and and the Alphonse Mucha Zodiac Puzzle Journals. What I thought was a journal is really a notebook with a puzzle cover. It’s an ingenious idea and one that is relaxing to do if you enjoy crafts, puzzles, journalling or drawing. It is beautifully packaged with all the necessary instructions for putting it together, along with a reference diagram. The diagram comes in very handy as depending on the design you choose, the puzzles are not that easy to complete. The bookmark included is even a part of the packaging, which shows how different this journal/puzzle is. Once you complete the puzzle and put it inside the protective plastic sleeve along with the notebook, it holds together extremely well.
I was impressed with how much detail goes into this. Even the spine of the book is made of puzzle pieces that are reinforced. The pieces themselves are made of a sturdy plastic, not cardboard, so I expect that it will hold up much better, plus if for any reason, water is spilled on it, it will wipe off without damage to the cover.
There are several designs to choose from, and all are very art nouveau and geared to adults or older teens. I originally got the Twinkle Pop design for myself and then had so much fun with it, I was sorry I didn’t gift it to my daughter-in-law instead. Two weeks later, I was lucky enough to find another one which was the Alphonse Mucha Zodiac design. I knew she would love it and I got it for her birthday which was today. She was really happy with this. As a busy mom, she seldom has time to relax and I know she will enjoy the process of putting it together and then using something that she has crafted herself.
These puzzle journals are just beautifully designed and crafted and would make an awesome gift for any one who enjoys the process of doing something crafty. Even the box that it comes in is beautiful with the art detail. I know several friends who would love putting these together and this is my new “go to” gift for friends.

This is an interesting project that blends the assembling of a puzzle and then using it as a book cover. It includes the puzzle, a bookmark, a multi-page journal, a waterproof plastic puzzle cover and instruction sheet.
Observations:
1) The puzzle pieces are made of plastic.
2) The bookmark uses the design of the back cover and a cute saying on the other side.
3) The A5-sized multi-page journal cover just slips into each side of the plastic cover. On the top of each inside journal page is a place for the date and a few symbols that I don't understand.
4) The plastic cover has enough room to slip in the completed puzzle and the journal end pages.
5) There is a simple 2-page instruction sheet.

A perfect gift for those of us who love puzzles. This journal has 80 sheets of cream thick A5 paper which is lined, and the cover is a jigsaw which can be made and reused.
The seller has a variety of designs on offer all of which are arty so hopefully they will branch out into some different categories too.
I’d say the puzzle isn’t the easiest and takes a good few hours to complete.
The pieces are hard plastic and mostly fit snugly and when finished hold together very well.
This then fits into a protective cover to become the journal cover.
The inside of the cover has a pen holder, card holder and room for some paper, the pages are a good thickness, and I love that this cover can fit subsequent A5 pads.
It arrives in a retail box so would make a fantastic gift. They literally thought of everything, even including a matching bookmark.
If you are here because you’re looking for a fairly priced, unique gift you’re definitely in the right place.
I hope you find my review helpful.

This book cover is an interesting idea. I can’t wait to see how it looks! So far so good. They give you a hint on how to get the puzzle started. They have you start with the binder first and go from there. The go from there part is where I’m stuck at now…lol I’m gonna find the pieces that make the cartoon and then work from there. If I get done within the week or so I’ll upload the finished product since no one has shown that in their reviews so far. The pieces are plastic which surprised me. I thought for sure they would be the regular pressed board/ cardboard other puzzles are made out of. This is a unique idea and I can’t wait to see the finished product. I liked to suggested making book covers like this for all books not just for the journal that comes with it.

This is so cute, and such a nice way to finish your puzzle and keep in on display/keep it preserved to enjoy it! It doesn’t come with that many puzzle pieces, I like the quality of the notebook and vinyl puzzle/notebook sleeve. This would be an awesome gift to receive!
