   Usually I do not write reviews for lotions, but this one had me so blown away I had to write one.
   For one, as soon as I opened the container I was hit with this wonderful, natural vanilla smell. It was not overly sweet, did not smell like that chemical, fake vanilla smell and it was not overbearing in general at all. Just a natural shea and warm, comforting, cozy vanilla scent.

   Then I applied some to my skin to see if this shea butter was just all good smells only. I normally have pretty dry skin, and being that I'm reviewing this in the winter, my skin has been extra dry recently. I can say that after applying this my skin has stayed moisturized and smelling good. I do not have to keep reapplying and reapplying the product to keep my skin hydrated. Just a normal or small amount of shea butter does it so a little goes a long way!

   I bought vanilla this time, but plan to pick up another scent or two because I'm confident the others will be just as good smelling and feel good on the skin!

   Melts into the skin. Not gritty like some others. Beautiful and light vanilla scent. My husband says I smell like shortbread cookies 🙂 makes my skin soft and moisturized. Will buy again!

   So glad they brought this back. I thought it was being discontinued. This melts early when refining between palms. Distributes well and massages into skin beautifully. The smell is just perfect (love the rose and vanilla). Not too strong. I have issue with scents so I generally cannot wear perfume. I look for alternative ways to bring a little "smell good" into my skin care routine because I usually have to go with scent free products.

   This is my first time using shea butter! I was eager to receive my package. The tin is beautiful and I love that the ingredients are clean. I also appreciate the mission of this brand! Kudos!

   (Disclaimer: I do find the tin difficult to open, and it may be particularly difficult for those with hand troubles. I have to use my nails and two hands to open this.)

   Unfortunately, the strain of vanilla used in this is TOO sweet for me, personally. Don’t get me wrong – I love vanilla, and my scents and perfumes don’t stray far from the vanilla realm. But I find this vanilla strain to be too photorealistic/edible for me – which is a bummer! The scent of the shea butter is very nutty and slightly bitter. With the slightly bitter nuttiness combined with the sweet vanilla I find that my senses feel overloaded.

   I asked my partner what he thinks and he said, “it doesn’t smell bad per-se, just very, very sweet.” I have to agree. It doesn’t smell “bad,” just overwhelmingly sweet. I wish the vanilla strain in this was less photorealistic – I love strong scents, this is just so, so sweet.

   With that being said, the quality and effect of this product are beautiful! I love how this makes my skin feel and glow. This is a great product for those who live in cold and dry areas and are also conscious of the product ingredients they use.

   This is in no way a bad product – the quality and mission of this company are great! The scent is simply not my cup of tea, but everything else checks my boxes (besides the tin being hard to open). I’ll have to try their other butters and see what I think!
