Condo rental shower update.
The tub and walls were not in good shape. Lots of mold everywhere: caulking grout and even the shower head! I spent 40 min applying it. Waited for 1 hour …I probably should have waited two hours or more…. i came back and scrubbed with a brush and 95% of the mold was gone. Now I couldn't smell anything g for the rest of the evening but it was worth it. Place looked really good. Some really embedded black mold was stuck in the caulking but what can you do? This did a great job.

Like another user said..the bathroom smells like a swimming pool for awhile but the mold is gone! I have a curbless shower and the corners were starting to yellow and some of the caulking started showing black. I followed the instructions. Used 50% of the bottle on one application. Keep the fan running. Let it dry after 3 to 5 hours . Wipe away with gloves and some towels or paper towels. Voila! It works very well. Yellowing grout lines became white again. Transparent caulking transparent again!
I have a rental condo and now im going to go test it on that tub (ewww) and that will tell whether this digs in deep to get rid of the mold.

This product is quite expensive for the amount you get. If you have a bathtub that needs all 3 adjacent walls done it’s pretty much 3/4 of the bottle. So for me, which you can see from the pictures, it helped but it didn’t do as much as advertised. Maybe if I did it a second time. But I don’t have enough and I’m not going to spend that kinda money again on this product. I’ll try a different one in hopes it works better. Scent wise you can tell it’s more of a heavy duty cleaner. Or at least tries to be. So make sure you aren’t using that room for the day. It may work for you, just didn’t work on the areas I needed to get cleaned.

Purchased product to hopefully remove black mildew stains in our tiled shower, after having no luck with other cleansers. This did the job, and so quickly! Remember to give the bottle a good shake before using, and it does smell like an indoor pool, but the bathroom fan should take care of that. Highly recommend, and will purchase again.

from the smell, it seems to be just bleach, high concentration, but not the strongest you can get. It works pretty well on mold as expected of bleach, but doesn't feel like a very good value

This product actually worked. I had some mould stains on the rubber part of the washing machine, and after applying this product most of it is gone. Mind you it did not all get removed on the first application, but I decided to give it a try again leaving it on the rubber surface overnight. And it did remove the mold mildew the second time. So just persevere . I did not have to do much scrubbing , but a little did it.

Used product for first time….. very easy to use and apply just wised I'd started applying from the top side of machine, was a little difficult squeezing the bottle upside-down an half full might have been easier when full…..but all and all it cleaned about 85-90% was very bad. Wished I had another bottle…. last I would definitely buy this or any product they sell……

This product is amazing to remove the dark color of mold. I squirted it down the corners of the tiled shower walls, smoothed it out and within an hour or so it went from black to a color that coincidentally matches the beige grout we do have! I did wear gloves and eye cover. I did get a drop on my wrist and it did burn a little and turn red. So be careful.
The shower looks newer and of course cleaner and more inviting.
This is a must have product if you are dealing with black/moldy grout.

I'm honestly kind of shocked at how well this stuff worked on my rubber washing machine gasket! I've used other products from Active and everything have worked well, so I thought it wouldn't hurt to at least try it. After reading the reviews, I bought two bottles in case one wasn't enough and gave it a go. This Samsung HE washing machine has been in use for over a decade and I've never successful been able to clean these spots with normal cleaner or regular bleach. So that tells you how set in they were!
When I opened the bottle there was a faint bleach scent too it, but the smell wasn't overwhelming and I could take my time working with it. I spread a thin layer of it over all the stained spots, not wanting to waste any. The stickiness of the product was 10/10! Even putting it at the very top of the ring it did not drop or run!
I left it over night, but I noticed before bed that all the staining appeared to be gone already! The next day I verified that yes, everywhere I had put it was now clean and looked brand new!
This was honestly a last ditch effort to clean the staining before I just quit trying and tried to replace the whole ring. Needless to say I'm very happy! The bottle is all one solid piece, with a cap that goes on top, so leakage isn't an issue! I 100% recommend you use gloves and protective eye protection, because I'm pretty sure there is bleach in this and you don't want that toxicity on your skin or in your eyes! Now I just have to figure out what do with my other unopened bottle 🙂

This worked really really well on caulking and grout in my shower. The black mildew was gone after 3 hours. The discoloration in the grout was gone as well but because the contents are very thick I found it hard to apply on the grout. Otherwise the product works great!

Wow. This worked so well. It got 99% of the mold from the washing machine. Easy to apply. I applied once, waited 3 hours, then gave it a scrub. Where there was still some black applied some more. Waited an hour. 95% gone. Then one more time applied in some small parts, then waited an hour. After that it’s almost all gone. I wiped it all out and then put the machine on cycle. It smells and looks amazing. Definitely recommend.

Have a 9 year old LG front load washing machine. Mold is definitely a problem even with the mechanism that keeps the door slightly propped open. Tried the Activ and it has done a very good job getting rid of most of the mold stains.
While it doesn't say it on the bottle, make sure to shake it well before applying it. It should come out like a gel.
Did have to apply a coupld of times to sevral areas. To be expected after 9 years.
Going forward I would recommend a quick wipeout of the gasket after each use and the monthy tabs also sold by Activ

Nowhere as effective as a paper towel soaked in full strength bleach, but useful in places like on walls where the paper towel won't stay in place. On floor tile grout it only mildly helped with light mold stains after many hours. It didn't make much of a dent on dark stains. When rinsing off, you get a pile of jelly at the drain that needs to be scooped up. It takes time to remove all the bits since they are transparent.
Overall it underperformed against my expectations. Hard to recommend since it's quite pricey for what it does, even on sale. It can be useful, but not a good value.
I'm going to stick with soaked paper towels for the tough stuff. Just cut into stacked strips, lightly dampen, place, then add bleach on top with a squirt bottle. You can add more as it dries up unlike the jelly which solidifies. Easier to find and remove for cleanup.
I might try another bottle for hard to reach places like vertical grout lines. But you if you have the time, you can also easily make your own with corn starch.

More natural cleansers, like borax, did nothing to clean the mold growing along the edge of my shower. Time to get serious. This stuff is magic. I like that it’s easy to apply so I could put it only where I needed it. A few hours later I wiped up the gel with a paper towel then went over it with a wet sponge. Mold GONE. In hindsight I wish I’d put it on all the grout in my shower because where I used it looks pristine. It does smell of bleach so be prepared to turn on your exhaust fan for a few hours while it works.
