It is truly a life saver for us as our baby loves to take a nap on our bed but she drools too much and always makes a mess of the bed sheet. The pad is thick but soft. It never leaks to the bed sheet underneaths. The size is not too big as she might roll out of it but we contain her with pillows.
I think 4 are enough for one baby as we can wash them all easily and let the sun dry them out.
