With craftsmanship as our core, our process starts with choosing the best raw materials. Chosen for its deep, dark contrasting grain and innate hardness, Acacia is an ideal wood for the kitchen and your home. And all of the Acacia used in our products is sourced responsibly, from local farmers. In fact, we only work with small-farm partners that we trust to grow our wood right. Hand in hand, we make sure every tree harvested for Ironwood has been left to age for at least 25 years old. This care and patience results in a natural grain that maximizes the chatoyancy of the acacia wood. Additionally, and most importantly, we take steps to insure new trees are planted to replace those that have been harvested.
Craftsmanship
We love to take ideas from inspiration to designing and crafting the finished product. Our aim is to create pieces that while maybe covered in fine cheese, still makes people ask “what kind of wood is that?” We take inspiration from all over, in fact our bread miter was discovered in a small food market in Munich in 1999. Our small team of designers and craftspeople work in unison to carefully consider an item’s intended use and to make sure we are designing products that will last and be appreciated by chefs and foodies alike.
Use And Care
All Ironwood products should be washed in warm soapy water and dried immediately. Ironwood products should not be left to soak in water or stored in high humidity environments. This will cause them to warp, which may be permanent. It is important to oil these pieces on a consistent basis to preserve the natural luster and ensure they do not crack.

First of all, they are beautiful! I was worried they would be too small but they are large enough to roll out a large portion of dough. I heard everyone saying they loved the Johnny Johnny rolling pin. That's how I found this one, in a search for the other pin. I bought this one because of they way it looked mostly and was very happy they were even more beautiful in person.
They rolled a perfect sized cookie and now I can roll out my dough mindlessly knowing they will all be the same size and the perfect size.
This pin was more expensive then some others but I think they were worth the money.

Best Rolling Pin I Have Used

This acacia wood rolling pin is not only very affordable, but it’s stunning and fits perfectly into my kitchen aesthetic. I do a lot of baking, and have needed to upgrade my rolling pin for a while, but I knew it would need to be left out in my kitchen since I didn’t have cupboard space to store it! My kitchen has a lot of warm tones to it, and a lot of the French rolling pins I’ve come across are lighter woods. So happy to find this one!
