My mom had this heavy big rolling pin for rolling sugar cookie doe, the one handle had eventually went missing through the years.
My sister got her a rolling pin and i noticed she wasn't using it i asked why.

I have a variety of rolling pins for different tasks. This is great for shortcrust pastry, as marble is naturally very resistant to sticking.
It can be placed in the fridge or freezer ahead of time to make it extra cold for rolling pastry dough. The weight means that less effort is needed on my end. It is very easy to wipe it clean.
It comes with a small wooden stand to prevent it from rolling around.
Only complaint would be that the centre steel rod could be more robust. The handles feel like they have a bit of give in them. Not sure how that will last overtime, but I also dont have any other rolling pins with handles, so if it breaks, I am assuming the marble pin itself should still be solid and fine. Mine has no obvious fissures or weak spots in the marble.
For the price, I was very happy with this pin. It suits my needs, and as an added bonus, it is very attractive green marble which goes well in my kitchen.

Love my new Marble Rolling Pin. It matches my cake turner and cheese dish perfectly. It's very easy to clean and I enjoy the aluminum handles. I keep it on my counter and it makes a delightful eye piece as well as allowing easy access. The marble base keeps it from rolling around and off of the counter top. Rolling out pie crusts/homemade bread is an absolute joy. The only thing I would bring attention to, ( this is not a minus, towards the performance of the product) and that is anyone with arthritis in their fingers/wrist, that finds it hard picking up and handling anything with weight, may find it to be a little awkward using. Other than that, I find it to be a fabulous product.

I love this product! I use it when I'm making pastries or just baking in general it is very heavy and it stays cold so it works well when I'm making my croissant dough and everything has to stay cold. I use this more than any other of my rolling pins. The little stand is very nice I didn't think I would need it but honestly it's just nice to know I can put it anywhere I want in my kitchen and it's not going to roll around.

I had a marble rolling pin with wooden handles. The handles didn't last a year but my repair made the pin last for 30 years until It broke. This rolling pin replaced it and I love the metal handles and the weight of it is just right for rolling out my oil pie crust. A pin made of marble is a better choice for rolling dough because of it's cool heft. I recommend this rolling pin.
