I spent 598 days in hospital!! I had sepsis and necrotizing fasciitis which is flesh eating disease. It ravaged my body, my hips, legs, and I had to have an emergency double mastectomy due to the infection..with no warning except an hour before!
I lost my ability to walk as I was in bed and unconscious mostly. I was on life support for many days & I was dying. A surgeon did surgery on my legs and saved my legs thank GOD!! I also lost my kidney function completely, and now I have to have dialysis 3 days a week for 4 hours, 1 hr drive from home! I will need a kidney transplant when I eventually get on the list. I cannot believe how sick I was.
Because I did not walk for 2 years almost, I was laying in bed a lot I got a severe stage 4 coccyx ulcer/wound. All my other wounds have healed For the most part except the coccyx one.
I’ve been in excruciating pain sitting. A specialist told me I cannot sit for longer than 2 hours at a time. It’s kind of hard not to sit for 2 hours when I have dialysis for 4 hours, 3 days a week. My physiotherapist gave me this pillow that I was going to have to buy for like $700..It did absolutely nothing for me. There was still severe pressure on my tailbone…Even Hydromorphone did not even help the pain! I am re-learning how to walk so I still sit a lot in a wheelchair for long distances…and at the dinner table and in the car and at dialysis etc etc….
I suffered for a year and then I thought …I need a pillow that has the back butt part cut out… So I looked up coccyx pillow on Amazon…and VOILA…I saw this one!! I don’t know why my physiotherapist and occupational therapist never told me anything about a pillow like this. Yes the expensive pillow they gave me was comfortable but not for someone with a tailbone/coccyx wound!
Well, ever since I got this pillow I have been in HEAVEN!! Literally. My pain has gone from a 10/10 (or 11 /10 for you Spinal Tap movie buffs!! Haha) on the pain scale. My pain is now literally 0, sometimes at 1.
I am no longer in tears in the car and I no longer criy when I try to get up out of the wheelchair because of the pain. That is when the pain used to be the worst…going from sitting to standing!! OUCH
Whoever invented this pillow deserves a freaking medal. Thank you thank you thank you for giving me back my life. I am still waiting to see a plastic surgeon to deal with the wound once this Covid-19 is over… But until then I will continue to use this amazing pillow.
EVERYONE….trust me…if you have tailbone/coccyx wounds or pain…this is THE item for you! It is so soft, excellent quality and the price cannot be beat. I am going to buy a couple more so I don’t have to keep lugging mine around to different places.

Trust me when I say your butt will thank you SO much for purchasing this product! I bought myself a desk chair on a whim at the start of the 2020 WFH fiasco, and unfortunately I didn't have time to research into seat comfort – something which I now regret. I had surgery on my coccyx a few years ago and every now and then that area can still get inflamed if I sit for too long on hard surfaces. I started having this pain again whilst sitting on my new crappy desk chair and I looked into buying a cushion for my seat.
I stumbled across this product and OH MY GOD, it's made such a difference. My coccyx pain is no more and it feels like sitting on a cloud. The padding is fantastic and doesn't wear down over time (or at least the time I've own it anyways!) I can immediately tell the difference when I sit on this cushion and when I just sit on my normal desk chair, within days the pain is back if I don't use this cushion. Eventually when I upgrade to a much comfier, better chair – I will still keep this to use just because its THAT comfy. I think it would also be perfect for travel too, in a car or even on a plane – just throw it down on your seat and keep your rear end from hurting on those long haul flights. Not too sure how well it'll fit onto your carry on, but as someone that suffers with long haul flights and coccyx pain, I'll make my baggage adjustments just so I can take it with me!
Purchase this product if you have any amount of coccyx pain, you absolutely will not regret it and it'll save you time and money looking else where and trying other products. Cannot recommend this product enough!

I bought this to tide me over after my chair suddenly lost it's comfort. After three years it's pretty normal but I didn't have the cash for a replacement. This works pretty good. Most days I don't notice I'm sitting on a cushion so it is usually comfortable. It provides good support but the one thing people should know is the size isn't big. I'm 5 foot 8 and no one ever said I had a big caboose but the size was something I had to get used to. At first it felt like I was perched on the cushion rather than sitting on it. Since I am using it on an executive chair there isn't really room for a big cushion so it works pretty well for me. Would recommend if you need something comfortable to sit on.

Been using since 2021. Very high quality product, still working perfectly, cushion is still firm and returns to shape, comfortable to sit on. Butt pain from long hours in the chair is gone. Highly recommend.

This is a well-made item in my opinion, I'm not a light person and it's shown no signs of sagging or weakening even with frequent use. It's a good size and design, so I can comfortably position myself on it and sit for quite a while without discomfort (unless I start to slouch, then it's less effective but I think that's on me). I do have to be mindful of how I sit on it, so I'm getting the best support, but that is to be expected. It really does take the pressure off my tailbone and lower back! This was a good purchase and solid investment in my comfort.
