I originally bought this hammer to add to my camping gear for use with tent pegs, but it has now become my go-to hammer for everyday use around the house. It is a good size and weight, and great value for the money. Hard to go wrong with Estwing products and this hammer is no different.

Perfect size and weight for what I use it for. It’s a pretty hammer, nice blue. Sucks ruining it with every strike.

Estwing is the best hands down for their hammers. I have a 15 yr old framing hammer that I still use for projects. I have used this item for suspension work and numerous jobs where the added weight is required. Nice tool to have in the toolbox when more persuasion is neeeded.

It hammers, it… hammers.
It's an Estwing and I will likely never again have to buy a 3lb lump hammer. Short of mortgaging your house for Stiletto hammers, Estwing is probably your best bet for quality "hand powered kinetic impulse generators". I have four different ones, and absolutely no intent of switching to any other brand.
Highly recommended.

If using this hammer for long periods of time it won't feel like your arm is going to falling off as its small and light weight. If your dealing with demo that has more solid substance to contend with then this hammer in the 3lbs option might be more suitable.

Apesar de ser feito em Taiwan e não nos EUA, a marreta possui uma boa qualidade construtiva e um metal muito resistente. A durabilidade só o tempo dirá, mas creio ser uma ótima ferramenta.

Use it for splitting firewood into kindling, works like a beast! I blasted through several dead blow hammers splitting wood, this thing is a Sherman tank!

Is it okay to actually love a hammer? 😉
My go-to hammer for most of my life has always been a 16 ounce claw hammer. And I suppose that is fine for hammering nails for picture hanging on drywall, lightweight projects, or removing nails with the claw backside. But this 2 lb hammer has a great feel to it, a bit more heft for some serious projects (or pounding tent stakes into the ground), and has become my new favorite. Still light enough for general nailing, but heavier for more serious stuff. And I even like the color!
