Bought this for my wife. She has highly reactive skin, and although she managed to find a drugstore brand that agreed with her (despite being lightly scented), it didn't have much going on with it skin-care wise and stays a little greasy.
With all the dermatologist recommendations, and glowing reviews everywhere, we thought we'd try the upgrade (a 35 dollar upgrade, might I add) to this wonder product.
She patch tested for 48 hours on the inside of her arm. Everything seemed ok.
This morning she put it on her face. Within minutes, her face was burning, itching, and her eyes were watering to the point she looked like she was crying. She immediately washed it off, and three hours later her skin is still red.
She used a bland skin care regime for a full week prior to testing this, so she knows for certain her skin was fine and not otherwise bothered by product. This sunscreen was the only new addition.
While I am sure this works well for some people, her experience is one-star worthy. Be careful if you have very sensitive/reactive skin. This does not play nicely with everyone.
Pros: Lightweight, smooth texture, spreads easily, minimal white cast (though she is pretty pale), no scent
Cons: Does not soak in as expected, leaves a greasy sheen, the whole allergic reaction thing, a $17 drugstore sunscreen at SPF 50 matched consistency, spreadability, weight and greasiness, and surpassed it in SPF protection, absorption and ability to use without concern. (It's Sun Bum Face, if you're curious).

This product has BOTH (although my dry pale skin needs a moisturizer underneath as well). Better still, after waiting about 10 mins for it to dry, my makeup applies beautifully overtop.
I just brought it on a vacation to the Philippines and it was all I applied on my face (every 2-3 hours). My skin looked so glowy and healthy and I managed to keep from getting a sunburn.
Might be a bit thick for those blessed with oily skin but I would HIGHLY recommend for anyone with sensitive, dry or combo skin!

No white cast, feels nice on my dry skin. Definitely one of the top 3 I’ve used. Prevents sunburn, I used this stuff daily (even winter) and loved it! Although, don’t think I will be repurchasing since they increased the price. There’s comparable ones for half the price 🙂

Tengo piel mixta y hace que produzca mucha menos grasa pero no me reseca. Huele como a pomada de rozaduras de bebe, pero el olor es muy ligero y se va. No me deja casi nada de capa blanca, del nivel 1-10 seria un 2 por tener protector solar fisico. Se siente como mantequilla, mi piel se siente super suave y se absorbe de imediato dejando una sensación de humectacion pero en minutos queda completamente mate y no siento que traigo nada, nisiquiera siento grasoso cuando me toco la cara.
**Actualización: 1 semana después no me saco granitos pero si me causó irritación en los ojos asi que no me la aplico cerca de ellos y me aplico otro bloqueador contra el agua en esa área. Otra cosa es que es el primer bloqueador que siento cómodo en el cuello, no hace que me sienta pegajosa. ***No lo recomiendo si hace de mucho calor porque si sudas poquito se cae 🌞

Needed the zinc for protection but it is clear so doesn't leave your face white. Like that it has moisturizer too. I have sensitive skin and no issues. Wish it wasn't so expensive though.
