I've had to wear a nighttime mouth guard for bruxism for nearly 25 years. If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that no matter who you buy one from, it will eventually wear out, get hard, and get ‘dirty’ or ‘gucky’ regardless of how well you care for it.
The first several years, I used the expensive ones made by my dentist because I didn't know any better. About 10 years ago, I finally discovered a popular store-bought brand. The savings were immense, and it lasted not much less than the ones made by my dentist, but its worst fault is how I could never get the fit and 'feel' right the first time. Often, I would have to repeat the fitting process at least twice, but I thought all store-bought brands would be no better than this one so I stuck with it. As good fortune would have it, the local town where I shop ran out of that brand one time, and out of skepticism I bought this DenTek one about two years ago.
What immediately sold me on the DenTek guard is how the initial fitting worked perfectly on the first try. I also liked how this one would become somewhat softer as I wore it throughout the night so that it didn’t feel as though my teeth were being shifted around by the morning. My other guards, if not fitted properly, would always have me wake up with sore teeth.
I’m on my fourth DenTek guard now – I get about 6 months’ use per guard before it gets too ‘gucky’ – and I’ve still always gotten the fit right on the first try. Even if I used up one guard per month, it would still be a lot cheaper than getting them from a dentist. Include the fact that the fitting process for this is far less frustrating than the other popular store-bought brand, and I’ll be using these DenTek guards for as long as I need to.

I would not order this again. I bought it after my dentist prepared bite guard broke. I figured it was a simple contraption, and worth taking a chance on given the low price.
1. It is very small. I'm female with a normal sized mouth. It does not reach the molars!
2. It is soft and does not go on tight like the dentist ones so at first I was worried it might fall out and choke me in my sleep! Eventually I got used to it but I suspect it is not doing a good job and I may be changing my bite to keep it in at night.
I am waiting for the new year to have my benefits kick in and get one from the dentist.
My biggest issue is how small it is. They should have just put more material and raised the price if needed. Right now, it's like a bite guard for a child!
Don't waste your money, at least not on the DenTek.

I'm new to using these and wavered back and forth between this style and the larger style that you boil and fit to your teeth. I'm very glad that I chose this style, it fits nicely, is "relatively" comfortable and I'm sure much less obtrusive than the other style. And you don't have to throw out half your order because they are made to fit a child!!! I'm going on three weeks using my first piece and it looks and feels like it did on the first day. This does exactly as advertised, in that it keeps your teeth separated and prevents any grinding or contact at all, another nice bonus is that they are even adjustable. When these wear out I wouldn't hesitate to purchase again and highly recommend.

I recently and reluctantly joined the world of nightime mouth guard wearers. I resisted my dentist for years, despite his warning about grinding down my teeth. Well, my tooth sensitivity has been getting worse, so I decided to give this product a try. I followed the instructions and got a great fit first time. The guard absolutely prevents me from grinding, without making me feel like I'm going into a ring for a heavy weight boxing match. While I wish I didn't need it, it is probably the smallest thing you could wear to prevent grinding. Very happy with it, and it does not interrupt my sleep (I'm a light sleeper). It is way cheaper than a dentist fitted solution .

Super easy to use and adjust. Not great for comfort on two aspects – I'm a clencher and the height/width of the strips between the teeth was a little thick for comfort, though I can see where if you were a grinder that would be a good thing. The other thing is that edges are a little rigid and seemed to press into my cheeks. Okay for a night and then a break and then another night, but not comfortable enough to wear every night. The biggest drawback for me actually had to do with cleaning – there's no way to completely clean these. The adjustment "mechanism" (plastic notches inside a plastic tube) is completely enclosed, but the necessary opening for the band to slide, there's no way that bacteria and germs don't get in there with no way to really get it clean. Soak it in something? For how long? Then rinse and let dry? More time and effort than other options that you can actually clean with soap and water in a few seconds.

I am editing my review to specify that I purchased the DenTek Comfort Fit Dental Guard–2 pack…
I had a troublesome molar and could not bite down in order to fit and use other mouth guards.
I wasn't sure if the Den Tek would work for me, but it has, in a big way. It is easily adjustable, and
easy to wear all night, and I often wear it during the day as well.
Unfortunately I ended up having the tooth extracted, but was able to adjust the dental guard again
so that it would not touch the extraction site, because I am still clenching my teeth for some reason.
It works beautifully. I would, and probably will, buy it again, to ensure I have some spares. I am still using #1 of 2 dental guards that came in the box. It is made in USA and not made offshore.

Me and my daughter both found this makes our jaw hurt and I wasn’t impressed with how flimsy it is seems cheap and it’s not comfortable
