The outlook is gorgeous and keep the heat longer than usual teapot. The metal plate is good to isolate the hot bottle from direct contact with the table. The only shortcoming is the tea cups are too hot to be held when you add the hot water into it. It would be better to have a holder with the cup to avoid scald.

This particular teapot was refurbished/a return, so I got it at a great discount. However, it arrived without the mesh strainer. I tried finding one online that looked like the right dimensions. I also went to the manufacturer's website for contact info and emailed them. THEY REPLIED, and quickly, and they sent me a strainer at no coast to me. GREAT customer service.
