This pan is perfect sized for pancakes, a steak or two depending on size, a small pizza (oven to table) and whatever else. I bought the one remaining that was marked down because it had been previously used. It took me 2 minutes to scrub a few small rust spots which looked as if a few drops of water was left on it, and am re-seasoning it as I write. Looks brand new. You can't kill cast iron, it lasts forever and many people have family who have inherited cast iron cookery items handed down from generation to generation.
This is a nifty pan, perfect size for us. I can recommend this for being well made.

U can't beat the price. They come seasoned but they get better with use. I season mine again after each use. That also makes sure U get all water from washing out. Many years ago on the news they said Teflon coated pans caused several kinds of cancer. It was never FDA approved and stopped the making, but the same Co. replaced it with something else that was also not FDA approved. I got a set that was neither and FDA approved. But after 10-15 yrs they are getting scratched. I still have a Teflon flat 1 that I can make 4 grilled cheese to my dislike. So I got cast, finally, but I got 3 different sizes. The big 1 I can get 3 easy on it witch I'll take for the safety of cast. There is nothing bad from cast and has been used for 100"s of yrs. + U get Iron from it that is good for use. With these I have 8 cast pans. I ordered stainless steel mess for cast that's not here yet, but I have used steel scrubbers fro store on them. When 1rst used few times cooking surface can get rough, I used medium sand paper and sanded than seasoned. Soon they will be fine. My 2 girls have also gone to cooking with cast. My son had 1 that had alot stuck on it and he put it on the porch for 3-4 yrs. Ya besides the junk had those yrs of rust. I took it home and put in fire pit 3 hr, washed and re seasoned and gave it back like knew. Was very surprised. Unless U crack cast from to fast of temp change they will last forever. There are also a lot of antices out there worth a lot of money so watch yard sales and actions. Also what I like about these is the raised sides that is great for omelets or burgers for a no spill. I can't say anything bad about them . Once U get used to cast there easy. Also I have found if U do crack 1 they can be welded. U have to preheat and cool slowly. I used a 110 volt welded. Have fun with your cast. OK its 2 wks latter and I finally made grilled cheese with. That's why I got them. They came out sssooooo perfect I can't explain. I used the large 1 and it did make 4. I coated with a thin coat of bacon grease for 1rst time. The pans were kind of a gray color but when grease started to melt and pan got hot it turned blk. Now they are the same size as all my cast fry pans and all the old glass lids fit all the cast cooking pans. With there raised sides it opens a new world. It's enough to make fried eggs hamburgers and more. I wish I could send ya a pick but my son and I tried and it didn't work. I will not need another set, but I am going to get my daughter set. Go cast!!!!!!! Also watch kent Rollins chuck wagon cooking. He is the real thing and always uses cast. I got his book here.

Absolutely Fantastic price for this set. These griddle are wonderful. They have a slightly deeper set, making it easier to keep your contents IN the pan. They're nice and thick, easy to clean, heat up quickly and evenly. If things stick, just boil a bit of water in the griddle and it will scrape right out. Dry them immediately after washing or they will rust !

This a review for the 10.5" cast iron griddle. Seems sturdy and well designed. However the cooking surface is very rough and abrasive. If you don't grind/sand the the rough finish to a smooth surface you will shorten the life of your spatula and worse. You will embed plastic or steel from your spatula or flipper when cooking. There are plenty of web articles on how to remove and polish down the rough cast cooking surface which could pose a health risk if left rough.
