I have been using Carmex since high school (almost 2 decades now). It is the BEST lip balm for dry lips! I have converted many friends to it over the years (about 4-5 people who now also swear by it). I like to have a pot of Carmex everywhere I go – at my desk, in my bathroom at home, beside my bed, in my purse. I purchased a pack of 12 on Amazon which is like a dream for me – plenty of Carmex whenever I need it! Carmex is great for dry lips. It isn't flavoured. It tingles a little bit when you first use it. I love this stuff and think it is THE BEST you can get!

I love this product so much. I usually buy the tubes ones which are the same. The medicated one is the best for dry lips. I got the ones in jar this time because i want to have a lott everywhere for a long time before restocking. I never found any lip balm better than this. I’m buying FOREVER. Carmex is the best !

PRO: easy to use, works every time for its intended purposes
CON: a bit hard for lips and sores
On first sign of cold sores, put a small amount (rice grain size)on problem areas 4-5 times day: cold sores gone in a few days.
Better if manufacturer uses more petroleum jelly in the formula

His product is very hard to finance stores, since It’s not cheap To purchase. Well, worth every penny, I buy mine 12 at a time. I’ve tried many other chapped lip devices but none work as well as this. When people seeing you use it, they say the same. Long wearing and you don’t need to apply constantly. No waxy feeling. When I’m Camping are use it as a moisturizer under my eyes. Well worth the $.

Buy these for my mom. She has severe arthritis and finds them easier to open and use in comparison to sticks.

only product I can use to keep my lips from drying out – winter or summer

Amazing product! I always buy in bulk as it works out cheaper. I’ve got lots everywhere around the house and always have one in my handbag. I tend to breath through my mouth when asleep and always woke with cracked lips, not anymore; highly recommend!

Carmex is amazing. I've been addicted to it for the last 30 years or so. I have it in every form available – and keep it all over the place. A tube and a stick in my purse…a stick and a pot in my car…all of them in various rooms of my house…I don't want to be without it. If I had to choose a couple of things to be stuck on an island with, Carmex would rank in the top position!
I usually buy these pots at the grocery store and try to wait for them to go on sale before I do. (When your addiction is this massive, you can spend a good chunk on lip balm over a period of time. That sounds so sad!) The last few times they've gone on sale, they were sold out. The panic! I decided I'm not going through that again – and ordered these from Amazon. (The seller is the manufacturer of this brilliant, beautiful, luscious yellow lip grease.) The box arrived quickly and in great shape. My little heart almost exploded when I saw the wonderful yellow box full of 12 jars…it was like looking at heaven! I have quickly gone through half the box, replacing the aaallllmost empty pots that I normally keep here, there, and everywhere. Better than xanax, I could feel my inner panic lifting as I gently placed new jars in all the spots I find it necessary to keep my beloved Carmex. I just feel happy when I open the lid and see the wonderfully smooth goodness waiting inside. I imagine it's similar to the feeling a toddler has about their pacifier or blanket. Except my addiction is serious – and someone could get very hurt if they get between me and my Carmex!
This is a great way to buy Carmex in bulk – the only way to go if you are a true Carmex addict. (Even if you aren't, this could quite possibly be a lifetime supply – at a pretty good price.) I prefer using the jar at night – I feel like the thicker formula is more moisturizing and conditions my lips to an amazing level of pure bliss. The stick and tube seem to be better for daytime use, great to just slap on whenever your lips get that dry, yucky feeling. (Don't limit yourself – I use the jars during the day, too…I don't discriminate!) A jar of Carmex is *almost* better than a good pair of perfectly fitting jeans…it's like an old friend, with each little jar providing phenomenal lip comfort.
A quick tip – some people don't like using the jars because it gets under their nails when they try to get some of the product. (Waaah – I say that's a small price to pay for lip lusciousness…) I have long nails and don't like the feeling of having stuff stuck under them. When I use the jar, rather than just poking my finger in there and getting messy, I turn my finger around – almost like I'm going to flick the contents. I gently scoop a small amount onto the TOP of my fingernail, therefore eliminating the Carmex-under-the-nail catastrophe. (See photo.) Applying it like this also makes my pots last much longer. One other tip? Living in Denver, dry, chapped skin and lips are a way of life. When my hands get super chapped and they hurt, or the split from the dryness, I apply a little Carmex to the affected area. (The type in the jar works best for this application.) I rub it in – and relish the familiar slight sting it produces – and continue to apply it until the area heals. Carmex makes these little cuts and painful spots heal fast – and I love that it provides a protective barrier over the skin and also that it repels water. Once it soaks in a little, I find I don't have to reapply it nearly as often as lotion. I even keep a tub of this in our first aid kit!
