I only have these gloves for one day and used them for a while. I did not try them in wet conditions. During cold weather is not recommended to let anything get wet to start with.
I am not doing outdoor activities especially in the winter. I bought these gloves to use if I have to shovel some snow from wheels of my truck, or for moving the garbage bins, or carrying things between by truck and my home during cold weather. For the one day I was wearing these gloves I found them to be comfortable and they kept my hands warm.
I read a review from someone indicating when buying these, order the next size up from what you actually measure. I took this advice and did so. Even at that, they fit me okay but almost on the tight side for when putting them on or pulling them off. If I ordered the size I determined myself, they would have been too small. Gloves are like a coat. You can always wear a bigger size and be comfortable, but not a smaller size.
Overall, my impression is they are decent gloves for general type use. I like them.

If you’re like me, and order based on your average size, you’re going to want to order a size up.
I ordered these as a gift for my father-in-law (slowly converting our family to carhartt is an inside joke). I own the women’s version and I love them. My fil works on ice in the winter on top of taking care of his and his neighbours yard by shovelling and snow blowing, so he needs something good to keep him warm. I’ve owned my personal gloves for 2 years and they’re still as perfect as the day they arrived. And I over wear mine. His comments upon opening were that he loved the feeling of them, and they looked and felt like a good, durable glove. They’re just too tight.
I had to return this specific pair as they were a size too small, but we can’t wait for him to have the XL gloves to use.

While bulky these gloves are quite warm. I was outside and the windchill was -20C or so and I didn't feel any cold.
It fitted me perfectly. Nothing tight.
Note that if it is too tight, a good chance the stitching will burst.
Only thing it could of used was maybe some reflectors on the outside of the hand when at night.

When I'm shoveling snow it's good keeps my hands warm downside after a while it becomes damp inside and also definitely not wind proof when I'm riding my bike my fingers are on the verge of frostbite

These gloves are wonderful for our cold winters here. The material is is great and they’ll keep your hands toasty in the harshest of snowstorms. Unfortunately, my husband won’t get to experience that joy because even the largest size was no match for his lumberjack-sized hands. Great gloves, but if you’re shopping for someone with massive hands, you might want to keep looking.

5 stars because in -4 my hands are warm, just the thickness and there are to put on as the lining inside moves when you take off and put it back on a few times, good quality, size as described, the grip isn’t there just to thick depending on how much and how hard of a work day you have you may get annoyed with the thickness and take them off. I’d rather have warm hands then cold and work will eventually get done.
