I set this up for the second time as we arrived at our site at the top of a mountain. The first time in my backyard, didn't seem to be any problems, but I must have missed it. The second time as I tried to fit the poles into the joints, one of them was so deformed that the pole could barely be fit into the joint. The whole night I was worried my tent was going to collapse because of this compromised joint. Luckily it didn't, and the tent held up against the rain which I will commend. Wind on the other hand, not so much. The second time I used this in the mountains, the wind kept knocking it over because the structure of the poles has no lateral support. I had to sleep without the fly so that air flow would be allowed through the tent. I would have been screwed if it rained that night, but luckily it didn't. Last complaint, the end pieces that the poles fit into get filled with packed dirt, and you have to sit there trying to scrape it out every damn time which takes a few minutes per corner. Again, for backyard use, likely no problem. For mountain use where your campsites are usually patches of dirt, this gets to be a HUGE nuisance. Also this is indeed a two person tent but you cannot fit anything else other than two people. We had to leave our bags outside the tent knowing they would get drenched (which they did). Overall, this is probably a great tent for drive-in campsites or your back yard, but I do NOT recommend it for the hiker/backpacker on a budget. Probably better off spending a few hundred dollars on a better quality one.

Used this tent and got caught in a downpour during our first night. We woke up as dry as can be which was a delight. Set up is a breeze and it is super compact which is nice. It is definitely a tight squeeze for two people. I can lay down with some room to spare (not much) and I stand at 6'1" tall. If you are taller get a larger tent.

Used this on a road trip and camping out in BC. I recommend a tarp overhead on the really rainy days, but its very lightweight and I was able to hike in to spaces with it no problem. I did lose a small metal piece that connected the poles at the end and had to do some fixups, but the zippers and lining of the tent have held firm after a season of well use. I appreciate that it comes with extra pegs to secure it into the ground.
