Arnica montana is the Latin name for a perennial that grows 1 to 2 feet tall with bright, yellow daisy-like flowers that appear in July and August. Boiron Arnica Montana (verified owner) –
This cream helped immensely with my very sore foot. I was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis (a very painful inflammation of the band of tissue that runs lengthwise along the bottom of the foot). It was so painful that I avoided putting pressure on that foot and ended up with a limp, which started to aggravate my hip, etc.
I read online about this product and decided to give it a try. I had no great hopes but along with foot rubs and stretching, I am finally pain-free. Here is my morning and nighttime routine to keep pf at bay:
I massage my foot with a cloth soaked in warm water (not hot). I rub the heel / bottom of my foot with the cloth, rubbing towards my toes and do this for several minutes. I then use my fingers to massage the back of my calf, down towards my heel, stopping to massage the achilles heel for at least a minute (in a downward motion) and then along my foot towards the toes, pushing firmly. It shouldn't hurt too much but you might feel a tight ache in the muscles for awhile (if it's too painful, ease up and go slowly). I spend at least a minute massaging the bottom of my foot, pressing quite firmly into the tissue, rolling it back and forth under my fingers. I dry my foot and apply the Boiron Arnicare Cream liberally, massaging it into the calf muscle, achilles heel, bottom of my foot and up towards my toes.
This routine takes 5 to 10 minutes morning and night and worth every second to stop that agonizing ache. I must also mention that I had been doing the massage routine for several weeks prior to using the arnicare cream but improvement was very slow and the ache was still keeping me from walking properly or sleeping well at night. It wasn't until I added Boiron Arnicare cream that I started to feel a noticeable improvement within a few days. I hope this is helpful information.
