We live in Alberta. The intermittent chinook winds can make for some pretty extreme winter freeze/thaw cycles. Many of us own ice-chippers or steel shovels for driveway and sidewalk maintenance. They are commonly cast iron or heavy steel, with solid wood handles.
Unlike the Blumway shovel/scraper…
This one has a comparatively lightweight but still sturdy feeling head, and a nice long 3-piece handle that bolts to the head, then screws together so you can customize the length. It is overall much lighter than what I'm used to, and I doubt it will replace the heavy steel ice chippers wielded against the mini glaciers at the ends of driveways around here. But I can see its thinner sharper blade being great for dealing with thin layers of packed snow (you drove off before shovelling) or thin sheets of ice (meltwater re-froze on the sidewalk). This should do a good job of loosening that lighter stuff, so you can quickly clear it away with a big snow shovel. I'm not sure it would stand up to heavier work though.
For non-winter work, I can see it maybe being of some use for weeding, lawn edging, scraping popcorn ceilings, applying drywall mud, removing old lino or floor tiles.
I appreciated the included hex key and wrench for bolting the head on. I doubt we'll make use of the included storage bag.

Für Schnee halte ich dieses Gerät eher für ungeeignet. Aber für Eis wird es seinen Dienst tun. Das Blatt macht einen soliden Eindruck und auch der zusammengeschraubte Stil hinterlässt keinen wackligen Eindruck.
Um es wieder im mitgelieferten Sack zu verstauen muss man es aber mit Werkzeug wieder auseinanderbauen…das halte ich für Unsinn. Den Sack hätte man sich sparen können. Ansonsten steht der Härtetest, die eisige Jahreszeit, noch bevor.

Winter is around the corner and things have been getting icy and slippery so this has been great. We have some steps at the front of our house that often have ice on them and this tool is great for getting that ice off. It’s not the best for snow since it doesn’t have too much room to pick up any snow, but it’s great for just scraping some ice that stuck in a patch so I typically use this and my shovel when I’m shovelling during the winter this has been a really great tool. It’s super easy to assemble. It took me about like five minutes to assemble. I feel like it’s super convenient really gets a great job done with scraping off the concrete. It’s light weight super effective and easy to build!

Gut Verarbeitet und ist auch robust. Konnte gut damit das Eis unter dem Schnee gut enfernen. Den Preis finde ich etwas hoch. Sonst Top.Schöndas auch eine Tasche zum sicheren verstauen dabei ist. DIe hätte nur etwas größer sein können, dondas man auch die einzelnen Stangen des Griffs mit hinein stecken könnte und verschließen kann. Sie passen zwar mit rein aber man bekommt sie nicht geschlossen.

It really is well put together, very classy ! I swear this thing will be around for decades! You have to put some muscle into tightening the torque screws holing on the blade, as the bolts have a little seal on them.

If you're on the fence about getting this ice scraper, get it! I wasn't sure if I would like it but I really do. This one specifically has an extra long handle so you don't have to bend your back as much. The blade is really sharp and doesn't seem to rust. I was concerned about the small width, but given how it's so late and you don't need to scrape the entire ice, just enough for it to crack, It's totally fine.

We haven’t gotten any ice yet this season so I haven’t been able to test it fully. Assemnbly was easy, the sections screwed together smoothly and seem to stay tight. The tubing is a bit thicker than some other tools I’ve gotten from amazon that had long handles. They are also somewhat heavier so this feels higher quality. I have another ice scraper that is a very heavy iron and that does an amazing job, this one is much lighter than that so I’m wondering if it will break up ice as well. This tool has a wider blade so it might work better at scraping away the ice rather than breaking it up.
All the weld point and fasteners seem very solid and it’s an overall nice tool. Not as robust feeling as I’d hope but probably will do well for medium ice and slush clearing. I’m sure we’ll get some winter storms soon and I can update when we do.

I finally got to use this as a snow shovel and it was great! It cleared my driveway quickly and was quite sturdy. I like that you can adjust the handle to be shorter or longer depending on what you need it for or your height. It is pretty heavy duty and get the job done.
