This is the best umbrella ever. The material is so nice and silky. The cover is so lovely in the same material with a zip, so it’s easier to get the umbrella back into the cover. The handle is beautiful. It makes me feel a bit special using it. I have not often had anything of such good quality. I honestly felt disappointed not to have had many rainy days since I bought it. The seller was also very helpful.

After posting my initial review, the seller contacted me about replacing the malfunctioned umbrella within a couple of days. The replacement process was extremely easy; no returning of the old product was required or asked. It was fast, efficient, and the representative that contacted me was very nice and professional. I've been using this umbrella for almost a month now and NO PROBLEMS. One happy customer now with a working, comfortable and good-looking umbrella! Would order again. (PS: mom still loves hers)

After hunting for a stylish umbrella and reading lots of reviews I decided to purchase this Balios Travel Umbrella. Actually, I bought 2; one for my mom and the other for myself.
Let's start with the good, shall we? These are beautiful umbrellas. They're sturdy, the smooth wooden handle is comfortable, and the fabric is of great quality. The grey color is handsome and true to the photos. I was happy when they arrived and my mom is very happy with her gift.
Sadly, mine lasted one use. I get out of my car, excited to pop open my new umbrella (it's been an embarrassingly long time since I've had one) and get to to store. I try to press the auto button again for it to collapse and find that it is still pressed in. See attached photo. So, there is no closing this umbrella now unless I manually collapse it and wrap it shut. Which is a pain. Also frustrating when I need to use it I unwrap it and it shoots open like a rocket. Is it worth the money? Absolutely, if it functioned correctly.

Needed to test the umbrella in a legitimate rainstorm action packed with wind. Umbrella felt flimsy and, sure enough, it inverted. While the inversion didn't cause it to shatter like most cheaper umbrellas, I'd expected better from this purchase.

This is an update to the previous review for their excellent customer service.
The manufacturers approached me to check on the issue and offered to either refund or replace the umbrella with a single canopy model.
I opted to get the single canopy model. Excellent customer service and like I mentioned before, the umbrella itself seems solidly made so I do not have any doubts that the single canopy model will be good.

The umbrella seems to be of solid build quality, however, it does not seem to be able to keep the water out efficiently.
The issue may stem from the vent provided for air flow. I used the umbrella to walk along a trail on a hike and there was light rain. The walk was mostly through the canopy of the foliage, however, I found that If I held the umbrella at an angle (such as resting over the shoulder), droplets of water would actually roll in through the vent and splash on my head. Maybe the fabric needs to be more taut near the vent that it is?
The umbrella seems to work fine when held upright at a 90 degree angle, however, in a practical scenario with wind and such, often you would have to hold it at an angle. Wanted to very much like it, but, the splashy bits on my head told me otherwise. I would probably lean towards a non vented model.

Update: Their customer service contacted me to refund me and replace the umbrella. I revised my 2 star to a 4 star to reflect the way they handled this. I really hope the new umbrella works out. 🤞
I love the look of this umbrella. It's sleek, it's sophisticated. I read the other reviews and thought this would be perfect for my treks around NYC. First time I opened it, I noticed my snap button had broken off. I thought, fine, I can just wrap it up tight and slide it into the sleeve. That was working the next couple of times I used it and then the inner lining of the sleeve tore very easily when I was putting it back in. Okay fine. It will still go in the sleeve, so I can live with it. Then I started feeling drops on my head at random times while walking in the rain. For the life of me, I could NOT figure out where the umbrella was leaking. I used it again the other night, felt the drops again and when I got home, my hair was pretty wet. Not soaked like it would have been without an umbrella, but definitely way more wet than it should be for having an umbrella. Like walking in a drizzle with no umbrella. It also didn't withstand the wind and would flip inside out on me. Not just Super strong winds either. Quite disappointed.
