I've used many snow shovels over the years and most of them have been very poorly made. This is an exception. It comes in three pieces: the shovel itself, which is substantial, yet light, and the handle, which is also substantial. The way it goes together is like this: the handle is in two pieces, and has a rubber-coated and tapered male end that fits into a female end with a threaded collar that screws down and holds it all together. Well thought out. The shovels goes on the same way. Taken apart, it's ideal for packing in a car. Put together, store it in a shed or closet. It seems solid and well made. Worth the money.

For a tough, reliable snow shovel that can withstand brutal New England winters, this is one of the best I've used.
Its robust plastic and metal construction allows for assembly in under 90 seconds, creating a secure, rigid structure perfect for withstanding harsh winter conditions. Despite my best efforts, the shovel handle stubbornly refused to align correctly, resulting in an awkward and inefficient shoveling experience.
This heavy-duty steel ice chopper, with its sharp teeth, effortlessly breaks up ice on pavement and concrete.
Despite the initial high price, the durable construction means this is a long-term investment—you won't need to replace it anytime soon, except for the minor handle problem I experienced.

I quite like this shovel. It's modular and screws together, but can store in a fairly small spot (ie on a shelf or something). There is a handle and two middle pieces, then interchangeable heads – an ice scraper or a shovel. The pieces are held together by rings that twist on – it's something you could do with gloves on (which is good for swapping between the ice breaker and the shovel head). The fiberglass seems to be decently thick – about the thickness of a standard PVC pipe (not the thin Schedule40 type – the regular kind).
The shovel head is about a foot and a half wide – good for shoveling large areas fairly quickly. It's sturdy enough to handle rather large loads (at least as much as the handle itself could handle and you could easily move – if you lever it against a large snow boulder you may break it, but you'd break most shovels the same way). My only complaint about this is that there is no metal blade on the shovel – it should last at least a few years of regular shoveling, but it will slowly wear away over time more than a department store version with a metal blade that touches the ground.
The ice scraper/breaker is very heavy duty. It probably weighs as much as the rest of the shovel put together. It seems to be made of quarter-inch iron or steel. With it attached to the shovel (either one or both units) it gives you quite a bit of leverage breaking up stubborn ice on your driveway. You'll want to be at least a bit careful with it – you could damage your driveway in the effort to clear up ice. It would probably win in a battle with most driveway concrete.
The shovel is a comfortable height for me to use as a near-6ft individual. It's roughly the same weight as my other shovels.
Switching back and forth between the ice breaker and shovel heads takes a bit, so you'd probably want to shovel normally, use the ice breaker as needed, and clean up with the shovel (instead of going back and forth constantly).
All in all it's a nice shovel and I quite like the heft of the ice breaker.

This is one of the best snow shovel/pusher I ever used. It's heavy duty and it really does great job scrapping snow off the driveway clean and allows me to easily push it down without even having to lift. I like that it's very wide and deep and the handle is rock solid. I also love that it comes with ice breaker BUT it only comes with one handle. I understand that it's interchangeable handle but who wants to change the handle outside in freezing cold weather to use the ice breaker then change it back to snow shovel. I have many poles but they are not compatible so I basically can't use the ice breaker (unless I want to deal with pain of changing the handle). It's a good quality snow shovel as well as ice breaker but at this price point, it should provide its own handle or at least an adapter ring that can be used with other pole. It's very unfortunate that it only comes with 1 handle. Oh and the corner of the shower broke off so I was little disappointed but it still worked pretty well to push off all the snow in my driveway as well as lift and shovel heavy snow…
