Where Does DE Come From?
Diatomaceous earth is made up of tiny fossilized diatoms (plankton) that have accumulated over millennia in fresh water lakes. These pure deposits are mined and ground into a fine powder that is naturally high in silica and other minerals. It is this chalky white powder that we call diatomaceous earth.
What is Diatomaceous Earth Used For?
Pure food grade diatomaceous earth can be used for a large number of different purposes. Here's a small selection of uses:
- A natural health supplement. Being high in silica, DE supports the growth of healthy hair, skin, nails and joints
- A stain remover. DE can absorb more than twice it's weight in liquid. It is effective at lifting stains on carpet and furniture as well as grease and oil spills on concrete floors.

Wow, just wow. I didn't even knew that such a product could exists. The health benefits are crazy good.
I bought the DE because i had worms. Lotsa worms and before going to the doctor i thought, hey lets go check online if there is something useful against worms. My first search in google got me this magical powder. Read a bit about it then i came to amazon to buy it.
Mind you, i've been using it for only 1 week at 2 tea spoon a day. Here are the results i got:
– The worms are getting killed all right. My 'region where the sun don't shine' has stopped itching almost completely(One of the worm sign). My mind is clearer, i have less fatigue and i can sleep a whole lot better at night. I get uninterrupted sleep, something i had not seen in years! I also seem to have lost my stomach ulcers. Before, when i woke up, i could not lazy long in bed because i got stomach pain, but now i somehow can lazy around all morning with no problems! DE make me lazy!!! 😉
– I'm a guy with a oily head. Always had that problem as long as i can remember. And of course, it itch all the time. Well after one week, bye bye oily head! Now it itch almost never and my hair have grown back or they became much thicker than before. After all the hair regrowth treatments and anti-itching skull products i've tried over the year who got me nothing, 1 week of DE get me results that must be seen to be believed. It's THAT good. And my hair somehow stay shiny. Even after 2 days without showering, they still look good.
– My skin somehow looks better, especially in my face (But then, it's the part you watch the most). I wish i had known DE when i was 15 and full of pimples, it could have helped quite a bit with my greasy skin.
– I have an acoufen (constant ringing in the ear) for years. Now it's almost gone. I can barely hear it anymore. I can't believe it how great it is to not hear that crap all day long!
About the product itself:
– I'm in canada and i bought on monday, they shipped on wednesday and i got it on friday. With the 'free shipping'. Very fast shipping.
– The image of this product doesn't do it justice. You see a little bag and you say to yourself, bah 10 pounds is not a big bag. How very mistaken you are my padawan! This product is the same consistency as floor, so it is very very light. 10 pounds bag is a biiiig bag. Imagine a 10 pounds floor bag and you will be close to it.
– The price is fantastic. I've checked a bit and for that much of the product, you pay very little.
– The quality is godly. From the results i got in only 1 week? Yeah thats fantastic quality right there.
– The product is non-toxic for humans (including children, babies even), pets, dolphins, elephants. But it kill all sorts of bugs plenty fast.

Product is fine for me to discourage the ants and aphids. I bought a 200 mg can in the spring for over $9.00 and it lasted about 2 weeks. I will be able to refill the can 22 times for less than the cost of 4 new cans. You can't argue with the economics — although refilling the can got a bit messy. I will perfect that. Delivery was fast

What this stuff does is nothing short of miraculous! This got me totally off of heart medication after the side effects of the medicines I was taking left me feeling weak and nearly dead every day. My wife started using it, and her blood pressure started going down within a couple months, and her doctor has reduced her medication dramatically. I had an issue with ED and NO LONGER! I never used medication for that, and it surprised me! I did not expect that side effect!
Our hair grows faster, as do our nails. I heal much faster from cuts and scrapes. My movements are more regular. Heck, I even treated my cat with this for worms! Just mixed it with canned cat food and dry cat food, he loved it! No more worms after just a week's feedings!
We use a cheaper DE (farm animal food grade) for the garden… kills all the critters, and no poisons needed!
If you haven't tried this product, you really should, no matter how healthy you are. I just take two tablespoons and place it into a glass of water, let it dissolve before stirring it, and toss it down before it settles again. This brought me back to life, I'll tell ya. Looking back at my pictures while I was on heart medication… scary! I looked like I had one foot in the grave! To see me now, you would never believe I ever had a heart attack and two stints. I haven't even had to use Nitro after taking this for just a couple of months, and I use to have terrible angina.
I started a friend of mine on it who had stage 4 Chrones, and within 2 weeks he said he was not even having any more symptoms of Chrones!
I am not a doctor, and am not prescribing anything, just giving my testimony is all. Going off of any medication without consulting your own doctor could be dangerous, I know that. We recently moved from the city to the country, to a home that had undergone renovations. I hadn't anticipated the amount of insects that had moved into the house along with us. I was looking for a natural solution to help mitigate all of the Asian lady beetles, ants, ear wigs, ticks and spiders, etc. inside the house. My dear mother suggested trying diatomaceous earth, so I purchased this bag (best value for the quantity – skip big box retailers all together because their prices just do not compare).
I am so very happy with this product. I put it in a squeeze bottle with a narrow tip and squeezed sparingly wherever I saw bugs (corners of rooms, along windowsills, on the deck, at the thresholds of doors). After a few days, any insects I saw near the area I applied were gone. Worked especially well with earwigs and silverfish. I simply reapply as needed. Others mentioned to be careful with the use of diatomaceous earth and vacuum cleaners. I have a bagless vacuum cleaner (Dyson) and it seems to do okay with picking up any residual diatomaceous earth dust on the floors, which is handy.
I have yet to try this product internally but since it is a ten pound bag, that will likely last me years and years, I imagine that I will eventually!
