This is my ideal vegetable/fruit peeler for the following reasons:
1) It is all stainless steel. No frills, no cheap plastic parts that will break. It's durable and functional.
2) This style of peeler is much more efficient than the kind where the blade extends straight up from the handle like a stick; I grew up using that kind, but this style is faster and easier.
3) It's cost is low.
So if you want the best type of handheld peeler at a great price, this is a good option. I've used it on fruit and vegetables and it works well. I selected this because it doesn't even have a rubber coating on the handle (which tends to get tacky over time and is just annoying and unnecessary), and I do not regret it.

This peeler may look 👀 simple and cheap but is very good. The best one I do have that is sharp enough and so easy to clean and the handle is just right. Others does rotate and are a pain to operate (blades) but this item is just right. No rust, no plastic and is just simple stainless steel made entirely. A peeler should just be simple enough to do the job with easy and to be thrown in dishwasher for cleaning without thinking on failing apart or rust.
